1. The Challenge
- HQ: in NY, Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. Need to include six Latin American locations to Corporate ERP seeking for better and integrated information of the region.
- US was confident they had a knowledgeable ERP team, wanted to avoid the expensive implementation approach that occurred in other regions, and was aiming to involve JDE experts in Latin America’s requirements to complement their experience and to work as part of their team.
- Complex fiscal integration challenges and language barrier in Latin America (it included Brazil), user’s resistance to change were main worries.
- Support Strategy: needed to train new internal employees to support the new region.
