MicroStrategy Incorporated is an American Bitcoin development company that provides business intelligence (BI), mobile software, and cloud-based services.
1. The Challenge
- The company decided in 2003 to go with JD Edwards to its Latin America affiliates Argentina, Mexico and Brazil, Locations with very different tax requirements, languages and culture.
- The complete Global Model had to be implemented in Latin America, with a limited budget and time frame.
- US headquarters in Virginia needed local expertise members to be added to their global ERP team in order to guarantee the success of these rollout projects.
- Electronic invoice new requirement in Argentina had to be analyzed and developed. It was one of the first e-invoice projects in the region.
- Many state taxes requirements had to be developed as customizations.
2. Why ITCROSS
- Understood the consulting role in global implementations, working together with the global ERP team while supporting local users and solving the language barrier.
- Experience in solving complex compliance challenges in Latin America.
- Offered support service in the region, that could work and complement the US existing internal team
3. The Outcomes
- Development and implementation of one of the first electronic invoice integration for JD Edwards in Argentina, that was replicated and adapted in Mexico subsidiary
- 100% compliance requirements achieved.
- Global Model implemented in time and budget, despite cost and time limitations.
- Long term strategic collaboration: After the rollout projects, ITCROSS has participated in MicroStrategy upgrades to newer JDE versions and supported Latin America’s users.
